Try to  figure out if each of these 10 root words comes from the Greek language or the Latin language (spoken by Romans).  The inhabitants from the courty of  Greece and gave us the Greek root words that are in the English language.  The inhabitants  from Rome spoke  Latin and gave us our Latin root words.  Match these root words with the Greek or Roman columns below.  The hyphen indicates where the root word would be attached to a prefix (hyphen precedes the root word) or to a suffix or other root word (hyphen follows the root word).  Check your answers by using the answer key below.
