St. Amant High School

St. Amant High School is located on 50 acres in St. Amant, Louisiana. The school has an enrollment of 1,900 students and offers several academic programs. One of the unique academic programs offered at St. Amant High School is the Allied Health Academy/Sports Medicine program. This program is designed for students interested in a career in any Allied Health Field. It offers students a combination of didactic and field-based experiences related to a variety of allied health care settings.

The athletic facilities are second to none.
The Gators' facilities include pro-style fields and spacious locker rooms for all athletic teams. The Gators also take great pride in their weight room, which is the envy of many area high schools. The strength training program is under the direct supervision of coach John Tally. The strength training facilities includes multiple stations of squat, power clean, and bench racks as well as multiple machines for the neck, lats, and leg curl/extensions. The weight room is utilized by all athletic teams. The Gators facilities also host a fully functional athletic training room. The athletic training room has all modern modalities and rehabilitation equipment which makes it a major asset to the school and its athletes.

Head Athletic Trainer Scott Arceneaux, ATC, LAT, is responsible for providing comprehensive athletic health care for twenty-one teams at St. Amant High School. Scott also is the director/instructor of the Allied Health Academy which has a current enrollment of over 200 students. Scott states that, "our principal, Patrice Pujol, our Athletics Booster Club, and the Athletic Director, Doug Moreau, are the biggest supporters of our athletic training program".

The best time to see Scott in the training room is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 until 5:30.
