234 Business Communications, Tentative Syllabus Spring 2005
This course will be offered 100%
online through Blackboard.
Blackboard courses use Web-based
software, which integrates course materials with communication tools. Blackboard
allows for more interaction and features than a traditional on-campus course.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you ready for an Internet course? A successful online learner:
- Has access to a reliable computer
and Internet provider.
- Communicates effectively through
writing.
- Is a self-motivated and self-disciplined
learner.
- Is willing and able to commit
to 4 to 15 hours per week per course. Online is not easier than
the traditional educational process. In fact, many students
will say it requires much more time and commitment.
- Is able to successfully send and
receive E-mail messages.
- Is able to open, close and save
files and attachments
- Is comfortable with using an Internet
browser to navigate the Internet, understands Web browser terminology, and
how to locate information. (-Internet Explorer, version 5
or above works best!)
