Assignment:
Create a Blog in class, the content of which is key ideas from the book Teaching Every Student in the Digital Age.
Your task is to introduce other teachers to the good ideas of UDL. Blogging is more than just creating the blog. It requires ongoing, even daily postings by you, and hopefully, responses and interactions from your other blog participants.
Tonight's activities:
1. Go to Blogger.com
2. Follow the on screen directions for creating a blog site. Pick an appropritae design that you like from the preset designs.
3. Create a blog name that describes what you want to do.
4. Your first entry should be a statement of the purposes of your blog.
5. Follow the oral directions given for inserting photographs and graphics in your blog.
6. Follow directions for learning how to add a link.
7. Add at least two other classmates to your blog. If possible and appropriate, add teachers from your school.
8. During the week, you should make at least one substantive blog entry daily.
9. The secret to blogging is to explore websites and use events of the day to push the edges of what you know. Follow your instincts: be loose and intuitive.
