CONSULTING SERVICE means work, other than professional, personal or social service, rendered by either individuals or firms who possess specialized knowledge, experience, and expertise to investigate assigned problems or projects and to provide counsel, review, design, development, analysis, or advice in formulating or implementing programs or services, or improvements in programs and services, including but not limited to such areas as management, personnel, finance, accounting, planning, data processing and advertising contracts, except for printing associated therewith.

Consulting Service Contracts for $50,000 or more must be let by a Request for Proposal process as outlined in the regulations of the Office of Contractual Review. If a consulting service contract in the amount of $50,000 or more is anticipated, contact the Purchasing Department for further instructions. This process will may require up to (6) months to establish a contract by the desired commencement date.
