Institutional Effectiveness

Southeastern Louisiana University has a comprehensive program of institutional effectiveness. Institutional effectiveness is the systematic and ongoing process of collecting, analyzing and acting on data and information related to the goals and outcomes developed to support the University's mission and purpose.

Factors Possibly Affecting the Results of the Student Opinion of Teaching
A form for faculty to report any unusual factors that might affect the results of the Student Opinion of Teaching for a course.

Guidelines for the Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness
The guidelines described in this document were adopted by the Academic Affairs Council October 28, 2002. The guidelines contain policies and procedures for Major Field Assessment, General Education Assessment, and Support Unit Assessment.

NSSE Results
Reports on Southeastern's results of the National Survey of Student Engagement for 2002 and 2003 and the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement for 2003.

Surveys
Provides a schedule of the Southeastern Survey Program as well as reports on the results of surveys conducted within the past five years. Includes Current Student Surveys, Alumni Surveys, Employer Surveys, and Faculty/Staff Surveys among others.

Policy and Procedures for the Evaluation of the President and Vice Presidents
This describes the policies and procedures for annually evaluating the President and the Vice Presidents. It was compiled in Spring 1997.

Report on the Status of General Education
The General Education Subcommittee of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee undertook a review of Southeastern's General Education curriculum. This is their September 2002 report.

Student Opinion of Teaching (SOT) Policies and Procedures
This describes the policies and procedures for implementing the SOT. It is the current policy as of April 22, 1997.

Vision to the Year 2000
This provides the mission, goals, and planning process of the University, which are the basis for SLU's institutional effectiveness program.

Vision to 2005
This provides strategic priorities of the University, which are the basis for Southeastern's institutional effectiveness program.
