An Evening at the Movies 
This concert will bring back wonderful memories for Columbia patrons who remember the theater’s days as a movie house! Conducted by Michael Butterman, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will lend its artistry to the melodic scores and musical themes from a host of popular films. This tuneful treat includes favorites from yesterday and today: Gershwin's "Promenade" from Shall We Dance, selections from The Wizard of Oz, the chilling theme from Psycho, memorable themes from the James Bond 007 films, excerpts from Chicago and Pirates of the Caribbean, the "Imperial March" from The Empire Strikes Back, selections from Lord of the Rings, a suite of songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, and the march from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
