Fanfare again partners with the House of Blues Foundation and its Blues
Schoolhouse program to sponsor an art competition for area school children.
Using “found” materials to create their artwork, young artists are inspired
to depict significant events that shape their lives and world. Participants
will travel to the House of Blues Folk Art Gallery in New Orleans for the
International House of Blues Foundation School House Tour. FREE

Southern States
Sculpture Exhibition
(Opening reception: October 7, 5:30-6:30pm)
An exhibition showcases the broad range of talents of sculptors from
throughout the southeast. The display will feature both indoor and outdoor
sculptures selected by nationally-known sculptor Ken Little, of the University
of Texas, San Antonio. The Center for Contemporary Art will also
host a lecture and workshop series Oct. 27-28 in conjunction with the International
Sculpture Center Conference in New Orleans.
