In the premiere performance
of “Pajamas and Play,” the Columbia’s newest series for our youngest
fans, giant puppets dance and act in a narrated ballet of this beloved
Beatrix Potter story with music by William Walton. Hudson Vagabond Puppets
will use the traditional Japanese Bunraku style of puppetry, becoming mere
shadows of the enormous figures they bring to life. Children ages 10 and
under attend the 60-minute performance dressed in their PJs before going
home with milk and cookies and being tucked into bed.
