Art and All That Jazz
Jazz Downtown
Fanfare's weekend of music, art and family fun in downtown Hammond begins with the always popular Jazz Downtown. After a two year absence, the crown princess of New Orleans' first family of jazz, Charmaine Neville, returns to the Saturday night jazz jam under the stars in downtown Hammond. Neville will share the Jazz Downtown stage with the rollicking ragtime rhythms of the New Leviathan Oriental Fox-Trot Orchestra -- also back by popular demand. And the Jazz Downtown favorites will be joined by the Shawn Manguno-Angelo Luster Quintet featuring Southeastern's own Shawn Manguno on drums, Angelo Luster on saxophone and vocalist Cherie Mannino.
Oct. 12, 7pm (food and beverage booths open at 6pm), downtown Hammond
