Samuel Pieh Samuel H. Pieh is the great-great grandson of Sengbe Pieh, best known as Joseph Cinque, who led the slave ship revolt on which the Steven Spielberg movie Amistad was based. In "Putting a Face on History: The Lessons of Amistad," Pieh, a tireless humanitarian, examines the once-forgotten, but now famous trial that was a coming of age for America.
