Honky Tonk Angels is like a trip down memory lane in Nashville. A new musical performed by the acclaimed Springer Theatre on Tour and written by the composer of Always...Patsy Cline, the show spotlights three aspiring singers who walk away from ordinary lives and head for Nashville. Powerhouse singer-actresses perform 20 country classics from Stand By Your Man to Coal Miner’s Daughter. It’s a funny tender valentine dedicated country-western’s great ladies.

The Capitol Steps were evolved during the Reagan Administration when three Congressional staffers reasoned that if entertainers could become politicians, politicians could become entertainers. The only group in Washington that attempts to be funnier than the Congress, the troupe digs into the headlines and hot topics of the day to create new lyrics for familiar tunes, skewering everyone, left, right or center. The Capitol Steps has a laugh and an insult for everyone.

Mark O'Connor
Violinist, composer and fiddler Mark O’Connor,  2001 Grammy Award winner for Best Classical Crossover Album for Appalachian Journey, is one of the most gifted contemporary composers in America and one of today’s brightest talents. A regular feature on the Nashville Network, he will join  the Metamorphosen Chamber Orchestra in his American Seasons, a composition buoyed by jazzy rhythms and O’Connor’s unstoppable melodic gift.
