Special Film
The Firefly Club and Presence Patrol
Fanfare hosts the premiere of the latest film by the award-winning team of writer Alan Marsh and director Martie Fellom. The Firefly Club is a surreal journey of humans into the worlds of nature, seen through the eyes of a child. With a score by Southeastern composer-in-residence Stephen Suber, the film portrays a rite of passage that hints at the unseen threats that tie us together, paradoxically reflecting as well our more common sense of isolation. The evening will also feature a showing of Presence Patrol, a documentary short of Marsh's experiences in Iraq and in post-Katrina New Orleans.
