A very special event ushers in Fanfare 2006 -- the official dedication of the Columbia Theatre performance hall to late Senator John J. Hainkel Jr., whose passionate perseverance fueled the historic theater’s restoration. With musical selections by the Southeastern Wind Symphony, fond memories will be shared and reverence will be paid to a unique and honorable icon of Louisiana politics.
