Valerie Francis, soprano
Valerie Francis’s many honors
as a vocalist have included first place in the Metropolitan Opera National
Council Midwest Regional Auditions, the University of Oklahoma Opera Guild
and Musical Theatre Award for Outstanding Soprano, and winning the Meistersinger
Competition in Graz, Austria. She has also conducted the Black Heritage
Ensemble and performed with the Cimarron Circuit Opera Company. A reception
honoring the artist will follow.

Centenary Choir
For six decades the Centenary
College Choir has concertized throughout the world, singing for heads of
state, armed forces, and international conventions; presenting two lengthy
engagements at New York's "Radio City Music Hall"; and appearing at Christmas
receptions in the White House. Years of extensive travel have earned the
ensemble the title of "America's Singing Ambassadors." A reception honoring
the choir will follow.

Dreamy Spanish guitar shares
the spotlight with cool jazz as Southeastern’s Guitar Ensemble and Jazz
Band team up for a program of Spanish classical music and jazz standards.
You’ll want to don your shades and put a rose in your teeth when the ensembles
– directed by Patrick Kerber and Richard Schwartz respectively – combine
for an eclectic finale of spicy Latin jazz. Dig it, senorita! Can you samba,
