| RAFFLE AND CONTEST ADDED TO FE-LIONS’ JAN. 24 CHAMPAGNE
BINGO
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University Fe-Lions Booster Association has added a special raffle and a fancy hat contest to their Champagne Bingo being held Jan. 24 at Twelve Oaks. The 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. event kicks off the Fe-Lions fund-raising activities for the Southeastern football program. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event for $5 each. The winner will receive a weekend for two with a $100 meal voucher compliments of Casino Magic in Mississippi. The fancy hat contest will be judged throughout the event in two categories, prettiest and most unique. Along with ten bingo games featuring cash prizes of $100, Champagne Bingo participants will enjoy champagne, hors d’oeuvres and a light lunch served by the Southeastern Lion football players. Door prizes will be awarded and a silent auction will feature items such as a Spa Package from Jeanne Maureens European Spa & Salon, sideline passes for two to a Southeastern football game, dinner for two with Southeastern head football coach Hal Mumme and his wife June, a day of yard work provided by a Southeastern fraternity, a children’s party with the Southeastern cheerleaders, and computer lessons. Coach Mumme will be the special guest. Tickets, $25 per person, are available at the Southeastern Alumni Center, Bayou Booksellers and Kwik Kopy in Hammond; Margaret Hawkins Photo Studio in Ponchatoula; and Lanny Murrell Jewelers in Amite.
