News release Public Information Office   SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu     www.selu.edu/news Contact: Christina Chapple Date: 12/18/03   SOUTHEASTERN FE-LIONS HOST CHAMPAGNE BINGO JAN 24       HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University’s FE-Lions Boosters Club has the perfect Christmas gift for that hard to buy for person: a ticket to “Champagne Bingo,” January 24 at Southeastern’s Twelve Oaks.       The event will kick off the FE-Lions fundraising activities for Southeastern football.       The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. While playing bingo and vying for cash awards, participants will enjoy champagne, hors d’ oeuvres and a light lunch served by the Southeastern Lion football players. Door prizes will be awarded and a silent auction will feature items such as a day of yard work provided by a Southeastern fraternity, a children’s party with the Southeastern cheerleaders, and computer lessons. Lions head football coach Hal Mumme will be the special guest.        Tickets, $25 per person, are available at the Southeastern Alumni Center, Bayou Booksellers and Kwik Kopy in Hammond; Margaret Hawkins Photo Studio in Ponchatoula; and Lanny Murrell Jewelers in Amite.
