LOUISIANA LITERATURE SPONSORS READING, EXHIBIT, "DIALOGUE"
HAMMOND -- Poet Elton Glaser will be the special guest at "Poetry & Art: A
Dialogue," a reading and discussion of art sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana University's
literary journal, Louisiana Literature.
The reading, scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Sept. 27 at Southeastern's Vonnie Borden Theatre
in D Vickers Hall, is being held in conjunction with the publication of the Spring 1996 special

Pramuck and Schieve were among the Louisiana artists commissioned by Louisiana
Literature to create "graphic commentaries" complementing the special edition's winning poems.
Schieve is a member of Southeastern's visual arts faculty, while Pramuck is on the faculty of
Louisiana State University.
Don Marshall, director of the Southeastern's art galleries and art editor for Louisiana
Literature, said the artwork commissioned for Louisiana Literature will be on display in the
lobby of Sims Memorial Library from Sept. 16-26. The exhibit will be moved to the lobby of D
Vickers Hall for the day of the reading, Sept. 27.
