LIBRARY HONORS STAFF FOR UNIVERSITY SERVICE
HAMMOND -- At a recent appreciation
luncheon, Kay McIntyre, director of Southeastern Louisiana University's
Sims Memorial Library, recently congratulated the library staff for their
performance during what she described as a "challenging year."
McIntyre praised faculty and staff for their
successful implementation of the library's new automated system, which
she said involved "hours of planning, problem resolution and training and
which was accomplished with interruption of services to the university
community."
McIntyre also recognized staff members who
received awards for their years of university service, including Library
Specialist Supervisor Betty Burroughs of Hammond who was honored for 25
years of service.
Also receiving service awards were Library
Specialist 3s Ginger Newman of Kentwood and Barbara Tanner-Brooks of Tickfaw,
20 years; Library Specialist 2 Linda Higginbotham of Holden, Government
Documents Librarian Lori Smith of Hammond, and Administrative Secretary
Barbara Tanner-Brooks of Tickfaw, 10 years; and Library Specialist 3 Linda
Achord and Assistant Director for User Services Eric Johnson, both of Hammond,
five years. |
