THE VIETNAM VETERANS MOVING WALL AT SLU DEC. 6-8
HAMMOND -- "The Wall That Heals," a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans
Memorial in Washington, D.C., will visit campus Dec. 6-8.
The 246-foot Wall replica will be located in theStudent Union Park. The display, which
will be open 24 hours a day, includes memorabilia left at the Wall in the nation's capitol. A
video, "All the Unsung Heroes," will show in the Student Union Ballroom every hour begining at
8 a.m. during the wall's visit. School children are expected to tour the exhibit throughout the day
on Friday. At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, the Alumni Association will host a reception at the Alumni
Center. The public is invited, with a special invitation extended to all area veterans.
The Wall That Heals Tour is organized by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and is
sponsored by the City of Hammond and Southeastern. For more information on the Wall,
