SLU OPERA TO PRESENT TWO ONE-ACT OPERAS
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Opera Music Theatre Program will
stage two one-act operas, Mozart's "The Impresario" and Pasatieri's "Signor Deluso."
     The operas, which will be free to the public and Southeastern students, will be performed
at 7:30 p.m., March 25-27 in Southeaster's Pottle Music Building Auditorium. 
     "The Impresario" takes place in a theatrical office in Vienna during the late 18th century.
An opera producer is persuaded to undertake a new production where he encounters difficulty
with an aging prima donna and an asipiring ingenue, both competing for the leading role.
     Signor Deluso is a comic opera about a young girl and her father who disagree on who
she should marry. 
     The cast for "The Impresario" includes: Jennifer Odom of Moselle, Miss., Susan Buller of
Jeanerette, Tyler Smith and Keith James of Baton Rouge and Blair Ziegler of Hammond who
recently played "Big Daddy" in the Southeastern Theatre production of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.
     The cast for "Signor Deluso" includes: Ted Butler and Rita Dottor of Hammond, David
Louviere and Hallie Sisson of Baton Rouge, Amber Klein of Gonzales and George Montalbano
of Independence. 
     Artist-in-Residence, Larry Gray is the stage director, Frank Duby will conduct, Chuck
Effler is the music director and rehearsal pianist, Scharmal Schrock is production coordinator and
vocal coach, Steve Schepker will design the set and Pete Pfeil is the lighting desinger.
