News release Public Information Office   SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu     www.selu.edu/news Contact: Rene Abadie Date: 6/20/03   BARAYA TO SERVE AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT CONFERENCE IN HONDURAS       HAMMOND -- Aristides Baraya, instructor in business at Southeastern Louisiana University, has been invited to serve as the keynote speaker at a marketing conference to be held July 2-3 at the Technological University of Honduras in the city of San Pedro Sula.       He will speak to approximately 500 marketing students and professionals at the university’s first annual conference on global marketing and the communication era.       Baraya coordinates the development of international programs for Southeastern’s College of Business and Technology and works closely with the university’s Office of International Initiatives. Most recently, he coordinated the visit to Southeastern of 25 businessmen from the Republic of Panama, who participated in a weeklong series of seminars on agribusiness and small business development.
