SOUTHEASTERN DANCE PRESENTS CACCIVIO CONCERT AND MASTERCLASSES
HAMMOND -- Dancers from Southeastern Louisiana University will pair up with European dancer Nicole Caccivio for a special modern dance concert, “My Dream,” October 23 and master classes October 13-16 and 18.
Presented during Fanfare, Southeastern’s month-long celebration of the arts, sciences, and humanities, the concert will feature 19 Southeastern dance students collaborating with Caccivo. The multi-language event will highlight dreams, text, and movement, said Southeastern dance instructor Dana Brewer-Plazinic.
A resident of Berlin, Swedish born Caccivio is a freelance choreographer, dancer, and teacher who works throughout the world on dance commissions from universities, companies and private organizations. Her modern dance, described as “fresh and innovative,” incorporates unique and interesting partnering with weight-sharing techniques.

The free masterclasses for dancers 15 years old and up will focus on modern dance and partnering.
