COSTA COREOGRAPHY - Southeastern
Louisiana University alum Skip Costa will host a series of dance workshops
at the university Aug. 1-4.
SOUTHEASTERN DANCE HOLDS UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University
graduate Skip Costa, artistic director of Southeast Dance Festival, will
offer dance workshops at Southeastern Aug. 1-4.
The classes are scheduled for 9 a.m.
to 3:15 p.m. in room 153 of the Kinesiology and Health Studies Building.
Participants 15 years of age and older may choose from a variety of daily
classes, including core fusion modern from 9-10:15 a.m., musical theater
from 10:15-11:15 a.m., contemporary jazz from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., and
choreography from 1:15-2:15 p.m. In addition, a workshop series will be
held from 2:15-3:15 p.m., with hip hop Aug. 1, lyrical Aug. 2 and 4, and
jazz Aug. 3.
Cost for the entire workshop (five
classes per day) is $325, individual classes are $20 each.
Costa, a Hammond resident now based in New York City, is a member of
New York’s Coremovement Project and New York Los Angelos Dance Conventions
and Competitions.
