OTHELLO – Aquila Theatre Company’s production of Shakespeare’s
“Othello,” will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Columbia
Theatre for the Performing Arts. The great Shakespearean masterpiece, which
explores human nature and the destruction of a noble spirit, is given new
life with Aquila’s national reputation for retelling classics in a vibrant
and visual way.

FANFARE CONSORT – The Fanfare Consort transports audiences to
the past, presenting 16th and 17th century music just as it would have
been heard then, period instruments and all Thursday, Oct. 30.

PICNIC ‘N POPS – Fanfare’s traditional Picnic ‘n Pops jumps,
jives and wails Sunday, Oct. 27 with Swing Set, three sassy female vocalists
backed by a hot six piece band. The swinging combo takes the stage at 7:30
p.m. in Southeastern’s University Center. |
