SBDC OFFERS SEMINAR GOVERNMENT SALES
HAMMOND – The Small Business
Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University, the Southeast
Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and the Hammond Chamber
of Commerce will host “Government Contracting: Everything You Wanted to
Know Plus a Little Lagniappe” March 11 at the Southeast Louisiana Business
Center, 1514 Martens Dr., in Hammond.
From 9-11:30 a.m., Cindy Carter,
procurement consultant for the Southeast Resource Center in Denham Springs,
will discuss topics such as marketing to the government, how to get started,
government contracting levels, dollar thresholds, electronic commerce and
specifications. Discussions will also include bid readiness, contract award,
certification, set aside programs, subcontracting, and available assistance.
Registration, $5, begins at 8:30
a.m. the day of the seminar. For further information or to register
