The KSLU crew went to the aid of one of their own, student disk jockey Nick Albert of Covington, whose grandfather’s home had been severely damaged by flooding from the 17th Street Canal. KSLU also partnered with National Public Radio to distribute donated emergency radios to hurricane victims in St. Tammany and St. Bernard parishes.
