LIONETTES BRING HOME TROPHIES

LIONETTES TAKE FIRST PLACE AT
UDA
DANCE CAMP
HAMMOND – The Lionettes, Southeastern
Louisiana University’s dance team, placed first in the “home routine” category
for Division I schools at the Universal Dance Association Spirit Camp,
held at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa July 25-27. The team also
received the “Most Improved Program Award” and a superior trophy. All dancers
received individual blue ribbons.
Members of the 2003 Lionettes
dance team are Captains Kim Dottolo, Hammond, and Crystal Canepa, Meraux;
Danielle Mistric, Baton Rouge; Katerine D'Antonio; Kenner; Erin Richard,
Carencro; Heather Canepa, Meraux; Brandi Taylor, Bogalusa; Ashley Guidry,
Marrero; Elizabeth LeBlanc, Zachary; Alison Camp, Rayne; Jessy Shaw, Slidell;
Kelli McCormick, Covington; and Shiloh Klein, Hammond.
The Lionettes will be part of
the half-time activities during Southeastern’s first home football game
on Saturday, August 30, said the dance team’s director, Christen Anzalone.
They also will join Roomie, the university mascot, and the university cheerleaders
at the downtown Hammond pep rally Friday night, August 29, and at the Alumni
Association’s “inside tailgating” at Twelve Oaks and other pre-game festivities
on Saturday. |
