SOUTHEASTERN HOLDS FIRST MBA PINNING CEREMONY
HAMMOND On August 2, Southeastern Louisiana University's Master of Business
Administration program held its first ever pinning ceremony for 22 summer graduates.
"This ceremony has been 32 years in the making and will become another Southeastern
tradition," said guest speaker and Vice President of Student Affairs Brad O'Hara.
Pins and gifts were presented by Josie Walker, interim director of the Executive MBA
program, and Michael Budden, dean of the College of Business and Technology.
Receiving pins were Tanja Bach, Germany; Anna Nicholson Bass, Ponchatoula; Rajesh
Chauhan, Germany; Kathrin Sil Christe, Germany; Ralph Ehrhard, Germany; Gelicitas
Benedikte
Fischer, Germany; Andreas Gerhard Gastel, Germany; Sonja B. Griesshammer, Germany;
Namita Gupta, India; Gilbert John Hecht, Walker; Sonja Birgitta Horowski, Germany; Jacob
Jasin, Indonesia; Mathias Kolm, Sao Paulo; Thorsten M. Krautter, Germany; Kamron James
Lachney, Baton Rouge; Gerd Liegerer, Austria; Jetra Lynn Reason, Clinton; Klaus M. Schmidt,
Germany; Carolin Schwarz, Germany; David Trussart, France; Sara Weisser, Germany; and
Imran Zaki, Pakistan.
Twelve graduating students are participants in an agreement between the College of
Business and Technology and the Reutlingen University/FH Reutlingen School of International
Business in Reutlingen, Germany. The agreement, established in 1997, allows German students
to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from Southeastern.
Southeastern's Master of Business Administration program was established in 1969 and
was awarded accreditation by the International Association for Management Education in 1987.
Currently, more than 250 students from around the world are enrolled in the program.
