SBDC HOSTS SEMINARS FEATURING REPRESENTATIVE AND D.A.
     HAMMOND   The Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana
University will host two seminars in October featuring State Representative Diane Winston,
District 77, and 21st Judicial District Attorney Scott Perilloux. 
     The SBDC, along with Edward Jones Investments, will host a Woman's Day Conference
Saturday, October 13 with Winston as the luncheon guest speaker. The seminar, which offers
management, marketing and finance information for today's business woman, begins at 8:30 a.m.
at the Southeastern War Memorial Student Union.  Registration is $20.
     Perilloux will speak with representatives from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service
Tuesday, October 16 at the SBDC and Hammond Chamber of Commerce's seminar "Bad Checks
and Conterfeit Money." Topics include collection of worthless checks, spotting counterfeit
money and currency knowledge.  The seminar is scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. in room 133 of the
union.  Registration is $5 and seating is limited.
