SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED TO HONOR JOSEPH RAMSPOTT
HAMMOND – The family and friends
of the late Joseph Ramspott, a Southeastern Louisiana University graduate
student majoring in biological sciences, have initiated a scholarship in
his memory at the university.
As he was preparing to graduate
last spring with his master’s degree, Ramspott was tragically killed in
an accident.
The Joseph Ramspott Memorial
Endowed Scholarship in Biology will support a full-time junior, senior
or a graduate student majoring in biological sciences. The scholarship
may be used to help fund field research for the recipient.
In May, Ramspott’s parents, Mr.
And Mrs. Edward Ramspott of Blair, Neb., joined Southeastern President
Randy Moffett in placing a plaque recognizing the scholarship on the university’s
“Wall of Honor.” Ramspott’s family and his many friends among the Southeastern
administration, faculty and student body attended the ceremony.
Contributions to the Joseph Ramspott
Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Biology may be sent to the Southeastern
Development Foundation, SLU 10450, Hammond, LA 70402. |
