SOUTHEASTERN PLANS REMEMBRANCE FOR SEPTEMBER 11
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana
University is collecting names of faculty, staff, students and alumni serving
in the Middle East for a remembrance ceremony on September 11.
This will be the third year that
the university has held a ceremony commemorating the September 11, 2001
attack on America. The remembrance is sponsored by Gamma Beta Phi Society,
the Campus Activities Board and the Student Government Association.
Jackie Dale Thomas, director
of Leadership Development and Student Activities, said the brief ceremony,
which is open to the public, will include a roll call of Southeastern service
men and women in the Middle East.
“We are asking for the names
of faculty, staff, students or alumni, their branch of service, and the
general area where they are stationed,” Thomas said.
Information can be sent to the
Office of Leadership Development and Student Activities at 985-549-2233
or jthomas2@selu.edu. |
