News release Public Information Office  SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu Spring 2004 news releases Public Information home News archive Contact: Angey Saucier Date: 2/17/04   SLU NURSING SOCIETY HOSTS WALK FOR ALZHEIMER’S MARCH 6       HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Rho Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society will sponsor “Walk a Mile for Alzheimer’s” from 9 a.m. to noon March 6 on the Southeastern campus.       Proceeds from the nursing honor society’s walk will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the start of the walk at  the Pennington Student Activity Center, located on the corner of N. General Pershing and University Ave. The event will also end at the center with a reception celebrating Rho Zeta’s second year at Southeastern.        Southeastern student groups are encouraged to prepare teams and help in the fund-raising efforts.
