SADD FOUNDER ADDRESSES STUDENTS  –  Bob Anastas, founder of Students Against Drug Driving (SADD), addresses Southeastern Louisiana University students at a special forum held Tuesday night as part of the university’s observance of Alcohol Awareness Week. Anastas, who formed SADD after two of his former student athletes died in alcohol-related driving accidents, said personal turmoil and peer pressure are the leading factors associated with teenage abuse of alcohol and drugs. Following his talk, students participated in “Mocktail-gating,” a non-alcoholic drink mixing competition between student organizations with a tailgating theme recognizing Southeastern’s return of football next year. Anastas’ visit was sponsored by Champagne Beverage, Inc. of Covington.
