DISASTER WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED IN HAMMOND, SLIDELL
HAMMOND -- Southeastern
Louisiana University’s Small Business Development Center will offer two
Small Business Administration disaster loan workshops next week in Hammond
and Slidell.
The workshops are scheduled for
Monday, Oct. 31, 9 a.m. – noon at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center,
1514 Martens Drive, Hammond; and on Friday, Nov. 4, 9 a.m. – noon at theSt.
Tammany Parish Library, 555 Robert Blvd, Slidell.
Sandy Summers, assistant director
of the SBDC, said the deadline to apply for the physical damage portion
of the SBA Disaster Business Loan has been extended to Jan. 11, 2006, while
the deadline for the economic injury portion of the loan is now Masy 29,
2006. The lending limit for the economic injury portion has been increased
from $1.5 million to $10 million.
“Despite these extensions, business
owners are encouraged to get their applications completed as soon as possible,”
said Summers.
There is no cost associated with
the workshops, but admittance is on a first come, first served basis. For

Attendees should bring as much
pertinent information on their businesses as possible, including federal
income tax returns, balance sheet, profit and loss statements, description
of damage and proof of insurance.

individual meetings to discuss the applications in various areas by appointment
