News release Public Information Office   SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu     www.selu.edu/news Contact: Angey Saucier Date: 9/10/03   SBDC CONTINUES SMALL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS       HAMMOND – The Small Business Certificate Program, hosted by the Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center and the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, will continue on Thursdays through November 6.        The series of seminars is designed to give entrepreneurs pertinent information in the areas of management, marketing, finance and accounting.        Class dates and topics are:        September -- September 11, Preparing a Business Plan; September 18, Financing Your Business; September 25, Understanding Financials.        October -- October 2, Excellent Customer Service; October 9, Marketing Your Business; October 16, Finding, Hiring, and Keeping Employees; October 23, Tax Planning and Insurance Tips; October 30, Computer Essentials.       November -- November 6, Smart Start.       Each session will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Southeastern St. Tammany Center on Koop Drive in Mandeville.
