Interested parties should call 985-549-5637 or 800-222-SELU.       In addition, Dominano said, display tables and exhibits on Southeastern will be staffed in the University Center during the high school tournament.        The fourth largest university in the state, Southeastern has an enrollment of more than 15,000 students, drawing heavily from the north shore and the Florida Parishes. The university, a member of the University of Louisiana System, offers 50 undergraduate and 18 graduate degree programs.       Earlier this year Southeastern announced that this summer it will implement part of the new admission standards that will be mandated statewide by the Louisiana Board of Regents in 2005. Currently, beginning freshmen must meet one of three requirements: an ACT composite of at least 20, ranking in the upper 50 percent of their high school graduating class or at least a 2.0 high school grade point average on 17.5 units of core courses.       This summer, a new requirement will be added concerning developmental courses. Students who need more than one developmental course will have to meet that requirement before being fully admitted to Southeastern. High school graduating seniors impacted by the new admissions criteria have a number of options for meeting the new requirement, including enrolling in Southeastern’s “Summer Bridge” program or cross-enrolling in a community college to take one or more of the needed courses while simultaneously Southeastern courses. Students can also enroll in a community college first and then transfer to Southeastern after successfully completing developmental work.
