News release Public Information Office   SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu     www.selu.edu/news Contact: Rene Abadie Date: 9/23/03   SOUTHEASTERN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HOSTNG TEXAS TAILGATE PARTY       HAMMOND - The Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association is taking its roar on the road to host a free tailgate party for alumni and friends Saturday, Sept. 27, in connection with the Lions' football game at Texas State University.       The event will be held prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Southeastern recreational vehicle in west parking lot west of Texas State's stadium.       Southeastern is fielding its first football team in 18 years under the leadership of new head coach Hal Mumme. The university discontinued its program in the mid-80's and reinstated football after raising more than $5 million in private contributions.
