CAST ANNOUNCED FOR SLU THEATRE'S "ALL IN THE TIMING"
HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Theatre will close out its 1999-
2000 season with David Ives's hilarious comedy, "All in the Timing," April 25-29.
Veteran director Larry Gray will direct the show, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in
Vonnie Borden Theatre in D Vickers Hall. Jacob Zeringue of Bogalusa is stage manager.
Tickets $5 general admission, $3 senior citizens and non-Southeastern students will
be available at the door or at the theater box office in Vickers Hall lobby beginning April 24.
Admission is free for Southeastern students.
Gray said "All in the Timing" is a collection of seven short theatre pieces, "each of which
boggles the mind, touches the heart and tickles the funny bone."
"Fasten your seat belts," said Gray, who has directed numerous plays, musicals and
operas at Southeastern and for Hammond's Columbia Players. "A ride through 'All in the
Timing' takes wild and unexpected twists. If Dorothy were to see this show, she would definitely
say, 'Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.'"
Gray said the show's pace zips from pieces about "three chimpanzees trying to write
'Hamlet' to black holes called 'Philadelphias,' where you can't get anything you want, to the
controlled verbal chaos of a piece provocatively titled 'Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread.'"
Gray warns audiences that the play contains adult language and situations and may not be
suitable for children. "I don't believe there is anything the least bit offensive about the play, but
there is some rather salty language and references to sex," Gray said. "So be prepared and
forewarned. This isn't 'South Park,' but it isn't 'The Little Mermaid' either."
     The cast includes Phil Sevin of Zachary and Kat Duvic of Covington in "Sure Thing";

"ALL IN THE TIMING" CAST Add One

Shane Stewart of Greensburg, Jonathan Majoue of Baton Rouge and Amanda Guitreau of
Livingston in "Words, Words, Words"; and Daniel Trentacosta of Chalmette, Erin DePaula of
Ponchatoula and Ryan Perea of Bogalusa in "The Universal Language."
Sevin and Stewart will be joined by Michelle Cudd of Hammond and Beth Hanson of
Mandeville in "Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread." The cast also includes Perea, Majoue and
Cherie Maurer of Independence in "the Philadelphia"; Perea, DePaula and Larry Epstein of
Hammond in "Variations on the Death of Trotsky," and Trentacosta, Maurer, Sevin, Cudd,
Stewart and Duvic in "Foreplay: or the Art of the Fugue."
"It's a terrific cast," Gray said. "They have had to really stretch to do this work. This is
not like any play you have ever seen. It is extremely witty, erudite and pure silliness."
