SLU HAS CLEAN AUDIT AGAIN
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University has once again been given a clean bill
of financial health from the Office of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.
     After a seven-month review of the University's financial records, Southeastern received
an "unqualified opinion"  -- "the best you can receive," said Stephen Smith, Southeastern's vice
president for finance -- from the office of Legislative Auditor Dan Kyle.
     "Southeastern," Kyle said, "consistently has good audits."
     "The credit for Southeastern's success must go to the work of many people who hold
ethical behavior as the highest standard," President Sally Clausen said. "Their respect of rules,
regulations and statues regarding financial accountability acknowledges the fact that they are
dealing with the public trust." 
     "I want to take the opportunity to thank all of our personnel for their hard work," she said.
