SLU COLLEGE OF BUSINESS HONORS TOP STUDENTS
     HAMMOND -- Jared Stroderd, a senior accounting major from Belle Chasse, received
the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Business's top academic honor, the Dean's
Award, at the college's annual honors convocation April 29.
     Stroderd, who also received a scholarship from the Louisiana Association of Tax
Administrators and the Accounting Department's Beta Alpha Psi (accounting honor society)
award, is Beta Alpha Psi's recording secretary and is a member of the national honor society Phi
Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma and Southeastern's honor society, the Thirteen Club. He also is a
Southeastern cheerleader.
     At the convocation, the college also honored new members of  Phi Kappa Phi and the
Thirteen Club and recipients of Presidential Honors, Board of Trustees and Louisiana Honors
scholarships. "Certificate of International Friendship" were presented to Master of Business
Administration students attending Southeastern through the college's foreign exchange programs
and achievement awards went to members of Phi Beta Lambda and the Students in Free
Enterprise. 
     Departmental award winners and scholarship recipients included:

Government Accountants Scholarship; Deborah Davidson, American Society of Women
Accounts Scholarship; Bongi Dondolo, Nandi Sishuba, Melissa Rombach, Charles Wesley
