MORE RESTAURANTS ADDED TO CHEFS EVENING MENU
HAMMOND -- The list of restaurants and beverage companies participating in Chefs
Evening, the Southeastern Louisiana University Development Foundation's annual food festival
fund-raiser, continues to grow.
Two dozen of the Northshore's best restaurants, wineries and breweries are now planning
to serve samples of their finest cuisine at the February 23 fete, scheduled for 5-8 p.m. at SLU's
Twelve Oaks dining hall. Proceeds from the $35 tickets support Southeastern academic
programs.
"We're very happy to have so many fine businesses with us this year," said Chefs Evening
coordinator Mary Lou Coats of the SLU Development Foundation. "Their generosity will make
this a truly enjoyable -- and delicious! -- evening for the Southeastern Development Foundation's
friends and supporters."
Coats said entertainment for Chefs Evening, which has a "Winter Wonderland" theme
this year honoring the event's move to earlier date, will be provided by the "Vida Duet,"
guitarists and singers Videt Widmier and David Catania.
Additions to the Chefs Evening "menu" are Via Veneto Italian Ice; Catfish Charlie's and
the Holiday Inn of Hammond; the Hungarian Harvest Winery of Albany; and Chicane Med of
Mandeville.
