News release Public Information Office  SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu summer 05 news releases Public Information home News archive Contact: Christina Chapple Date: 8/19/05   CAMPUS, COMMUNITY SINGERS INVITED TO JOIN NORTHSHORE CHORALE         HAMMOND – Singers from the campus and community are invited to join Southeastern Louisiana University’s University Chorus and the Northshore Chorale, which will begin fall rehearsals on Tuesday, August 23.        The non-audition choirs, which combined their voices in popular concerts each semester, meet each Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Music Annex choral room (room 165A), said conductor Roger Henry.        “We’re inviting anyone who enjoys choral singing to join us. Everyone is welcome,” said Henry, who recently joined the Department of Music and Dramatic Arts choral faculty. A native of Trinidad in the West Indies, Henry is a doctoral candidate in choral conducting at Indiana University, where he also earned his master’s degree.
