SOUTHEASTERN TO HOST CRIMINAL JUSTICE SEMINAR MARCH 13-14
     HAMMOND --   Southeastern Louisiana University will host a two day Criminal Justice
seminar, March 13-14 at the University Center. The seminar will focus on the topics of
interviewing, interrogation, and analyzing statements.
     Dr. Stephen L. Mallory, chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of
Southern Mississippi, will conduct the 16-hour seminar.  Mallory, who has more than 25 years of
experience in law enforcement, has served as the deputy director of the Mississippi Bureau of
Narcotics and  is the author of  "Informants: Development and Management."
     On day one, participants will discuss Kinesic Interview Techniques, Verbal Quality, Non-
verbal behavior, Introvert and Extrovert, Proxemics, Interrogation Techniques, and The Reid
Technique. Day Two will tackle the subjects of the Statement Analysis and Special Cases.
          The seminar costs $250, which includes tuition and handout materials. For more
