SLU CMS CHILDREN'S CHORUS GETS UNDERWAY
     HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Community Music School's
Children's Chorus will have its first rehearsal of the fall semester at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 15,
in the Music Annex Choral Room. 
     The chorus, directed by SLU graduate Gina Anthon, is open to children, ages 9-13, who
enjoy singing. No audition or experience is required.
     Participation is $40 per semester and weekly one-hour rehearsals will be conducted each
Monday at 4:30 p.m. Anthon said the chorus will learn folk songs, sacred music and Cajun
selections, which the young singers will perform with the North Shore Choral Society and
University Chorus on Dec. 2.
