HAMMOND -- Jefferson Parish and other New Orleans area alumni and friends of Southeastern Louisiana University are invited to meet the university’s coaches, including new coaches in football, baseball and basketball, at a reception Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Fox and Hound at 1200 Parkway Blvd. in Metairie.
      Tickets for he reception, which will be held from 5-7 p.m., are $15.
      New head coaches who have recently joined Southeastern’s athletics staff are Lori Davis-Jones, women’s basketball; Hal Mumme, football; and Dan Canevari, baseball. Davis-Jones and Canevari are taking over established programs, while Mumme has been charged with returning football to Southeastern in the 2003 season. 
       Assistant coaches recently added to the staff include strength coach Joseph Hruby; Ramona Pagel, track/cross country; William Dailey, baseball; Brent Harris and Eric Dumas, women’s basketball, and Woody Widenhofer, football
      At the event, participants can also register for a cruise that will be given away during Southeastern Homecoming Week, Nov. 4-9.
