| SOUTHEASTERN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HOSTS “MEET THE COACHES”

PONCHATOULA
HAMMOND -- Area alumni and other friends of Southeastern Louisiana University are invited to meet the university’s coaches, including new coaches in football, baseball and basketball, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Ponchatoula Lions Club, 750 E. Pine St. New head coaches who have recently joined Southeastern’s athletics staff are Lori Davis-Jones, women’s basketball; Hal Mumme, football; and Dan Canevari, baseball. Davis-Jones and Canevari are taking over established programs, while Mumme has been charged with returning football to Southeastern in the 2003 season. Assistant coaches recently added to the staff include Brent Harris and Eric Dumas, women’s basketball, and Woody Widenhofer, football. At the event, participants can also register for a cruise that will be given away during Southeastern Homecoming Week, Nov. 4-9.
