SLU DANCEWORKS HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR THE WATER MAIDEN 
     HAMMOND -- Danceworks, Southeastern Louisiana University's dance company, will
hold auditions Tuesday, August 24  for the October Fanfare performance of  "The Water
Maiden."
     Danceworks is looking for female and male dancers, ages 13 and up, with strong
technical training. Selected dancers will rehearse twice a week for a total of four hours.     
The performance will be October 28 and 29 in the Vonnie Borden Theatre. 
     Auditions are scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the dance studio (Room 153) in
Southeastern's Kinesiology and Health Studies Building. Check in time is 4 p.m. and dancers are
asked to arrive on time to fill out audition forms and to warm up. 
     Martie Fellom, director of Southeastern's dance program, is the artistic director for the
production, and selected student choreographers are Jennifer Buck of New Orleans, Carolyn
Fulton of LaPlace, Lesley Kernan of Praireville and Alison Maraman of Zachary.
