News release Public Information Office  SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu Spring 2004 news releases Public Information home News archive Contact: Christina Chapple Date: 7/19/05   CURRENT AND NEW SOUTHEASTERN STUDENTS CAN EARLY REGISTER FOR FALL JULY 20-21        HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University is offering students another chance to register early for the fall 2005 semester.         All students currently registered for the summer semester, new transfer students, re-admit students, and continuing students will be allowed to register for the fall or drop and add courses from 8 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, to 10 p.m., Thursday, July 21, during the university’s final Summer Orientation Program.          Students can register or change their schedules from any computer with Internet access.        “Taking advantage of early registration is in the student’s best interest,” said Paulette Poche, director of records and registration. “Students who early register find making a schedule easier and less hectic than waiting until regular registration. Also, this is the perfect time for students to adjust their schedules.”        Students must be advised prior to registering if advising is required within their department.        Regular registration is August 16-18 with fall semester classes beginning on August 22.        For additional information, call 985-549-2066/62 or 1-800-222-7358.
