ELECTRONIC MUSIC CONCERT AT SLU MONDAY
HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Electronic Music Lab will
present a free concert of electronic music at 7:30 p.m., December 7, at Southeastern's Pottle
Music Building Auditorium.
The concert will feature original student works by J. Brock Robbins and Daniel Stacks of
Baton Rouge; Fredric Fland of Bogalusa; Melissa Harper and John Carpenter of Covington;
Kendrick Brock of Franklinton; Jaimie Callender of Hammond, and William Thomas of
Chalmette.
The compositions range from the abstract experimental style of electronic music to
popular commercial styles of techno/rock music and utilize a variety of techniques studied in the
Electronic Music Lab this semester.
The program will feature a variety of electronic music sound sources including analog
and digital synthesizers, electronic samplers and sequencers, as well as traditional acoustic
instruments.
